MARKETING AND SALES MANAGER

About the role:

Reporting to the Admin and Finance Manager, this stand-alone critical role is of key importance and sits within a small, well-established team. Overseeing all of the marketing activity for their Leasingham Winery in the Clare Valley, responsibilities are varied and include development of marketing strategy, creation of all marketing collateral, working with external creative agencies and monitoring the effectiveness of marketing communications. Sales experience is also highly desirable as the position will support on-line sales.

Duties include:

  • Developing marketing strategy
  • Coordinating marketing campaigns
  • Creations of publications and marketing material
  • Liaison with external creative agencies
  • Monitoring and reporting on campaigns
  • Managing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Customer service
  • Manage existing and future relationships with Brand Management and CRM/Database Management partners
  • Creation of Monthly/Quarterly eNewsletters
  • Managing eCommerce sales

Skills and experience:

  • Sales and marketing experience
  • Events experience
  • Wine knowledge
  • Intermediate to advanced use of MS Office Suite and Indesign
  • Sound verbal and written communication
  • High level of organisation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a small team

CHEF, JUNIOR COMMIS, APPRENTICE CHEF OR COOK

We are looking for a 3rd or 4th year apprentice chef, commis/junior chef or highly motivated cook to join our team.

The successful applicant will work closely along side our Head Chef in the day-to-day running and operation of the kitchen including:

  • Preparing and cooking a modern Australian menu with a strong focus on local and quality produce and house made products
  • Maintaining and cleaning of kitchen and equipment
  • Aiding in menu development and implementation
  • Picking and preserving estate grown fruits
  • Event preparation and service
  • General kitchen duties

12 month initial contract, with opportunities for future development.

EXPERIENCED HOSPITALITY AND EVENTS STAFF

We are looking to expand our cellar door, restaurant and events teams as we gear up for a busy year at O'Leary Walker! 

Reporting to the Cellar Door Manager, there are multiple roles on offer, with leadership pathways available. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing friendly and knowledgeable service to our guests in the Cellar Door, including conducting wine tastings for individuals and groups
  • Hands on lunch and function restaurant service
  • Event and function service including weddings
  • Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the Cellar Door
  • Managing opening and closing procedures including cash and daily reporting
  • Stock maintenance including heavy lifting
  • Administration and computer use
  • Communicating with management on a regular basis regarding Cellar Door management and/or issues

Skills and experience

  • A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate for South Australia
  • A current driver's licence and reliable transport
  • Wine knowledge (including WSET) and cellar door experience desirable
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Customer-centric outlook
  • Great sales and customer service skills
