Pinotage may be South Africa’s signature red variety, but it remains a rare find in Australia. After a trip to South Africa highlighted its suitability to the Clare Valley, the vines were planted in 2015.

VINEYARD
Fruit is sourced from Neil and Heather Grace's Home Block, with Pinotage planted in 2015 after a trip to South Africa highlighted the suitability of the variety to the Clare Valley. Alluvial soil over limestone.
Vinification
The fruit spent 14 days on skins in open fermenters with gentle hand-plunging, before being pressed and matured for 12 months in seasoned French oak hogsheads and barriques. The result is a vibrant, medium-bodied Pinotage made for easy drinking, particularly through the warmer months.
