Hospitality Team Leader
O’Leary Walker Wines | Clare Valley
Permanent part-time | Thursday to Sunday
O’Leary Walker Wines is looking for an experienced, hands-on Hospitality Team Leader to join our team in the Clare Valley.
This role is primarily focused on leading our restaurant service from Thursday to Sunday, while also supporting our Cellar Door team during busy periods. There will also be opportunities to take on further responsibility across weddings, functions and special events.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example and creating a warm, relaxed and memorable experience for every guest.
About the role
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and supporting the Front of House team during service
- Managing bookings, table flow and service timing
- Greeting and hosting guests
- Maintaining high standards of food, wine and table service
- Working closely with the kitchen and Cellar Door teams
- Conducting pre-service briefings and allocating team responsibilities
- Ensuring staff are knowledgeable about the menu and dietary requirements
- Delivering engaging wine service and providing thoughtful recommendations
- Engaging with guests and responding to feedback or concerns
- Assisting with staff training and development
- Supporting Cellar Door service when required
- Assisting with weddings, functions and special events
- Completing restaurant opening and closing procedures
About you
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of three to five years’ hospitality experience
- Strong restaurant and Front of House experience
- Experience leading a team during busy services
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- A calm, positive and hands-on approach
- High attention to detail
- Availability to work Thursday to Sunday
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
- Full Australian working rights
A genuine interest in wine and a willingness to learn about the O’Leary Walker range, regions and food pairings is important; however, previous wine experience is not essential.
Previous management, winery, Cellar Door or events experience will be highly regarded.
