"The almost perfect growing season in 2022 underpins this excellent example of the famous Austrian variety which seems especially suited to the slightly cooler climates. Clean and crisp with a combination of citrus and pear. A little richer quince pâté edges in as well. Great summer drinking and generally best in the short term.” - Ray Jordan

"Made by winemaker Jack Walker, son of the (O'Leary) Walker senior on the label here. Matured in 10% new French oak. From 10-year-old vines. Slippery with a good deal of chewy grip, too. It moves at two speeds. Scents of quince, lemon in tonic water, kohlrabi and radish. The palate similarly set and dusted with white pepper. It's got that fleshiness the pulls up in chalky dryness – what a treat. Very well made, varietal and great drinking." - Mike Bennie

"The much loved Austrian variety, Grüner Veltliner, is spreading its wings. No longer limited to the Adelaide Hills, other regions are showing just how well they can do it. This is a fine example from the Clare Valley. Made by Jack Walker, son of co-founder Nick, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel, followed by the inclusion of 10% matured in new French oak for six months. Yellow gold in colour, the nose exhibits some serious concentration and power on the nose, classic Grüner notes. Stonefruit, rockmelons, nuts, pears and some citrus. An attractive, supple texture follows with deceptive length. On the palate, some slightly spicy notes emerge, as well as a hint of salinity. Thoroughly enjoyable now, this will easily sail through the next three to five years.” - Ken Gargett

"Fresh, bright aromas of lemon and spice. Bright, fresh and tangy on the palate. Quite textured, citrus pith, green melon and talc. Long and linear” - Aaron Brasher
