2022 Chardonnay

Pale straw.

White peach and nectarine, lightly toasted almonds, hints of citrus.

Rich, full and creamy texture on the palate balanced with fresh citrus acidity, flavours fleshy peach and nectarine. 

10 years or more.

Mark O'Leary's Benwerrin vineyard is located at Oakbank in the picturesque Adelaide Hills. Aspect is integral to the production of the highest quality fruit. At Benwerrin, the 20-year-old Chardonnay vines are planted on a northerly facing slope. This combination of the cool climate and long days of sunshine develops fantastic stone fruit flavours and aromatic qualities.

Barrel ferment in second use French oak. Some wild, some non-saccharomyces, some saccharomyces. Six months maturation in oak.
